The Perfect Skincare Regime

Ever wondered what the perfect skin care regime consists of?

1.  Cleanse

Besides removing makeup and cleansing your skin, your cleanser is responsible for balancing the PH Level in your skin, it is vital that you use the correct cleanser as prescribed by your therapist.  Using the incorrect cleanser is the start of skin care problems.

2.  Exfoliate

A weekly exfoliation is exactly what your skin needs to get rid of any dead skin build up.  By removing the dead skin cells your skin will produce healthy new cells, your products will penetrate your skin instead of sitting on top of the dead skin cells and your skin will look rehydrated and your make up will go on smoother.

3.  Eye cream

The eye area is one of the first areas on your face to show premature ageing and a good eye cream should be a priority.  The molecular structure of eye cream is smaller than that of normal moisturiser to penetrate the sensitive eye area.  Applied morning and night it will help prevent premature ageing and can treat existing fine lines and wrinkles.

4.  Serum

Sadly, serums are often overlooked but are an essential part of a skin care regime.  Serums are high powered treatments that penetrate the skin at a deeper level than your moisturiser does, giving you maximum results.  If you are serious about preventing or treating fine lines, a good serum is a must!

5.  Moisturiser

Moisturising your skin daily is vital and is a skin care step that should not be missed; keeping your skin hydrated and nourished from an early age will prevent fine lines and wrinkles.  Dehydrated skin is one of the main causes of premature ageing.  We recommend changing your moisturiser seasonally as oil flow is affected by the changing seasons.

6.  Neck cream

The décolletage, an area of general neglect, yet it’s one of the first places that can make you look a lot older than you are!  A hydrated, plump, wrinkle free neck and chest is absolutely beautiful on a woman.  Don’t make the mistake of not giving your chest area the same love you give your face.

7.  Mask

Applied weekly, a mask is great for your skin.  They are easy to apply and deliver results.  The right face mask can help hydrate skin, remove excess oils and help improve the appearance of your pores.  They’re also an excellent way to help pull out impurities. Another advantage of wearing a face mask: the feeling of being pampered like you’re at the salon from the comfort of your own home!

 8.  SPF

Saving the best for last!  Sun exposure is the number one cause of fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes, age spots, pigmentation and melanoma’s.  There are so many more reasons why you should wear a good SPF every day than there are reasons why not to!   While a tan is beautiful, the damage is irreparable and you will only start to see the real extent of the damage as you start to age.  Save your beautiful skin and get in to the habit of spray tanning for that natural golden glow!

We strongly recommend working in conjunction with your beauty therapist to correctly diagnose the skin care regime that suits your skin
